Accounts
This is what we call your main account - everyone who joins us has a Share account. You can put money into it at one of our branches, by Standing Order from a bank account, or have wages or benefits paid in directly. You can also withdraw small amounts at a branch, or larger amounts with at least one day’s notice.
The Credit Union Current Account (CUCA) offers similar services to a bank current account - it comes with a card you can use to withdraw money at Link cash machines. You can have wages or benefits paid directly into it, and set up direct debits from it. There is a £5 monthly charge to cover the cost of maintaining the account but most of our members find that this is more than covered by their savings on transport to access our services.
Let us help you to save! We all have unexpected situations which require a bit of extra money. Why not start to save a small amount each month to help you meet these costs. Or you can save for a specific purpose such as Christmas, your winter fuel bill or a deposit. Your Savings Account remains separate from your Shares.
It's never too early to start the savngs habit! Credit unions encourage young people to start saving early, helping to develop good financial skills for later on in life. With a return of 2% AER interest on money saved, you can see the value in it for you or a young relative / friend.
